Election of a Member to the Medical Council under Section 12(1)(ccc) – Dental Specialists Registered under Section 39B of the Medical Ordinance

The Sri Lanka Medical Council invites nominations for the election of one member to the Medical Council under Section 12(1)(ccc) of the Medical Ordinance. The person nominated must be a Dental Specialist registered under Section 39B of the Medical Ordinance and must hold valid registration.

The nomination form is available for download from the Sri Lanka Medical Council website at www.slmc.gov.lk. Each nomination must be signed by at least five persons who hold valid registration under Section 39B of the Medical Ordinance. The full name and registration number of each nominator, together with the consent of the person nominated, must be included.

The nominators’ signatures will be verified against the records held by the Medical Council. The validity of registration will be confirmed as at the closing date for nominations.

Completed nomination forms must be submitted in duplicate by hand to the Returning Officer, Sri Lanka Medical Council, No. 31, Norris Canal Road, Colombo 10, during the nomination period.

Nomination period: 9 November 2026 to 30 November 2026
Submission hours: 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on working days only

A further notice will be issued if an election is required.
