Pool of Examiners for the Examination for Registration to Practise Medicine (ERPM)
The Sri Lanka Medical Council invites applications from eligible Medical and Dental practitioners to join the Pool of Examiners for ERPM. Applications must reach the SLMC on or before 25 August 2026.
The Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) invites applications from experienced and dynamic Medical or Dental professionals/academics for the Pool of Examiners for the Examination for Registration to Practise Medicine (ERPM).
Eligibility Criteria for Examiners
The applicant should:
- Be a board-certified specialist in Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, or a relevant subspecialty.
- Possess active registration in the SLMC Specialist Register.
- Be PGIM board-certified at least three years before the application date.
- Have experience as an examiner in a final examination at a State University or the ERPM.
- Have served actively in State health service or university service for over three years.
- Be under 75 years of age, subject to extensions approved by the Council where justified.
- Have no past adverse incidents at medical examinations.
Responsibilities
Selected examiners will be expected to declare conflicts of interest, serve as written and OSCE examiners, develop ERPM Part I or Part II question banks, coordinate examination components, and undertake essential examination duties.
